There’s a new heat wave coming to town, and this time is with pineapples and habaneros! Energy City Brewing released an American sour ale with pineapple, habanero, and Sabro Hops called, the “Heat Wave Turbine.”
After reading reviews on Tavour, I guess I’m the only one here who really can feel the heat on this one. I actually think it’s kinda spicy, but not over the top.
Energy City Brewing added the right amount of kick to this awesome sour ale! The Pineapple & Habanero Heat Wave Turbine has a great balance of pineapple and spice, and with its smoothie-like texture, it gives for a real juicy flavor.
The Heat Wave Turbine is incredibly delicious, it is like a legit spicy pineapple smoothie. This is a smooth sour; the Turbine is not very tangy, rather it is very easy to drink and with a legit 6.7% ABV.
Aspiring sports journalist, it began with my studies in Broadcast Journalism at CSUN. LA Native, now 26 years old. I'm absolutely crazy about sports, and would say it is definitely my passion. I played soccer all my life, and football at Hart High. I hope one day to continue my football dreams as a professional kicker, either CFL, Arena Football, and maybe one day the NFL.
