Just like any unique type of porter, you want that good amount of flavor which separates itself, in this case, the vanilla porter has plenty of that vanilla taste to it. It almost feels like there is a vanilla bean in the aftertaste, simply a great porter.
For some reason, as I have mentioned before, there is a sour character in some of Quarry’s dark beer, and thankfully you do not taste this whatsoever because of the high vanilla profile. Rather than hints of flavoring in their first porter, Quarry did it right this time with their Vanilla Porter.
Vanilla and beer is always a great idea.
