It’s off to the races.
The 2019 NBA Free Agency is about to be interesting, and maybe the most intriguing ever, after news of Kevin Durant to decline his $31 million option with the Golden State Warriors. Durant is currently in New York City, to asses his Achilles injury, and now will evaluate his options for free agency.
The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets have been the long time favorites to land Durant in free agency, via. ESPN basketball insider, Adrian Wojnarowski.
It doesn’t hurt that KD’s personal medical staff is in New York, so there could be a connection right there. Rumors are rumors, but the Knicks and Nets have a lot to offer Durant, meaning the max.
Sometimes in life its about connections, and it seems KD has some in New York.
Golden State Warriors are still not out of the picture yet, as Durant could still sign a new deal, but possibly could require a max deal. It is hard to rule out a dynasty like the Warriors, but breaking news of Durant opting out, makes anything believable.
