The milk stout for sweet
tooths 

There I was, completely in awe after experiencing the mind
blowing mouthful, that is the Nitro Merlin Milk Stout, the tastiest beer I’ve had
to this day. 

I’ve always known Firestone Brewing
Co. to be solid, and to have a respectable reputation, but this beer is just ridiculous.
This milk stout blows away any kind of sweet stout, brown ale ever consumed. 

I never thought dark beer could be so good. 

The sweet, malt complexity followed with the smoothest
finish possible, this milk stout is unique in many ways. Part of the wizardry
is of course the nitro, but this brilliant
creation is added with lactose, or a.k.a. milk sugar.     

According to Firestone Brewing, when the Velvet Merlin is
brewed with this new ingredient to create Nitro Merlin Milk Stout, the effect
is like to adding cream to your coffee. This brewing process is pretty cool, especially
the fact itself of transforming an oatmeal stout to a milk stout. 

This milk stout still is dark and roasty, but now has a smooth,
sweet flavor and added roundness of body. The semi-sweet taste is bready and
doughy caramel, well creamed and roasted coffee, and followed with a malty chocolate
character. 

This dangerously delicious stout will get you sipping all
Sunday afternoon long, as it is a light beer with 5.5% ABV. Thank you Firestone
